Pastor Ted J. Stephens.... his story

Pastor Ted began his ministry at North End Baptist Church on January 1, 2012.  However, his journey into God's work began over 50 years ago.

Pastor Ted faced many challenges in life, and found that God had a special plan for him.  During his younger years there were times of life and health challenges, but this is when he learned that God can change everything; that faith in God CAN take the darkest and hardest times in life and turn them into teachable moments for God's word.

Pastor Ted was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he met his wife, Caroline.  They both attended Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma, got married, and then moved to Kansas City, Missouri.  Pastor attended Midwestern Baptist Seminary where he received his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees.

The Lord has led Pastor Ted and Caroline to a variety of ministries over the years.  He has pastored the Mary Niblack Baptist Church in Ardmore, Oklahoma and the First Baptist Church in Neosho, Missouri.  He served on the staff at Mountain View Baptist Church in Boise, Idaho, First Baptist Church in Chillicothe, Missouri and South County Baptist Church in St. Louis, Missouri.  He served as the Director of Missions for the Enon Baptist Association in Missouri and the Blue Water Association in Michigan.

Pastor and Caroline served as missionaries in Macau (China) with the International Mission Board, a part of the Southern Baptist Convention.  He also served as Missions Director with the Baptist State Convention of Michigan and the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.

Pastor Ted has a Godly passion for the family at North End Baptist Church, and a vision of hope and leadership based on gospel teachings, while spiritually nurturing and welcoming all who may wish to join the church family.
